Description

NHS NW London ICB requires the provision of Enhanced Health Check services in North Kensington (NK) community venues from 5th February 2023 to 31st March 2024.

The overall aim is to address the concerns in the community regarding long term ill health as a result of the Grenfell Tower fire and to provide an early intervention through health promotion to prevent diseases which are prevalent in the NK area.

The service is currently being delivered by London Medical Associates (LMA) West London GP Federation. The ICB is under the impression that LMA West London GP Federation is the only capable provider for the proposed period of 25 months (13 months, with an option to extend for a further 12 months). The ICB seeks to be transparent in it's intention to award the contract to LMA West London GP Federation (estimated total value of £382,282).

Capable providers that meet the below conditions for participation may respond to this opportunity:
-Ability to delivery of Community Enhanced Health Checks - inclusive of mental and physical health checks for children & young people and adults affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.
-Management ability of clinical risk; including a clinical audit process.
-Ability to manage and deliver an annual recall service for EHCs.
-Ability to onward refer to specialist services, as required.
-Ability to build, establish and manage relationships with local stakeholders.
-Supplier must have access to GP registered patient records and input completed EHC templates onto patient record.

Providers need to be able to:
-Provide the range of facilities, equipment and resources needed to carry out the screening
-Perform first line calibration on all applicable clinical equipment to ensure it is fit for use in line with relevant manufacturer and national and local guidelines.

The provider is expected to demonstrate existing, well developed, relationships with local community & voluntary organisations, GP practices & Primary Care Networks, other NHS providers offering services in the area, for those affected by the Grenfell tower fire and wider partners including the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). The provider must demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of local communities, & evidence the collaborative engagement with local people.

The ICB is committed to assess the needs of the service users & consider how (if relevant) it needs to secure the needs of the people who use the services, & improve the quality & efficiency in the provision of the services including through the services being provided in an integrated way.

While the ICB considers its procurement options for the service going forward, it may extend its arrangements with the current supplier until a new contract is awarded. Capable providers may come forward by 17:00 on 2nd March 2023.
