Description

"NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group is intending to procure a Voluntary Sector led early help and wellbeing service for young people. We are aiming to identify a provider by February 2021 with the service going live in June 2021. We are seeking to identify a Voluntary Sector provider who already has a local base / infrastructure. Tenders will be considered from individual Voluntary Sector providers or alliances of Voluntary Sector providers (a lead provider must be identified however). It is anticipated that the service will:
• Focus on the needs of 11 - 18 year olds with mental health / emotional wellbeing needs
• Offer regular drop-in sessions for young people
• Develop and provide opportunities for young people to take part in supported activities for which there is already an evidence base on improving wellbeing (e.g. arts and crafts, physical activity sessions)
• Liaise with other voluntary and statutory agencies in Stockport in order to offer both supported activities and to signpost young people on to activities and groups that may be beneficial for them
• Work in partnership with Healthy Young Minds (specialist CAMHS) in Stockport
• Interface with the Single Point of Access for emotional wellbeing and mental health and take referrals from there
• Provide advice and signposting to enable young people and families to access self-care materials, peer support and mentoring and to access other relevant services where appropriate
• Maximise the opportunities of partnership working in order to stimulate local wellbeing opportunities for young people
• Attract additional funding to support the continuation and expansion of this project".
