Job Title: Levelling Up Programme Manager
Rate of Pay: Day rate (Inside IR35)

Responsibilities:
Set the strategic direction for the Levelling Up Programme, developing high-quality strategies and action plans to meet the programme's goals.
Champion evidence-driven thinking and lead the development of policies related to levelling up and wider determinants.
Inspire and lead your team to become thought leaders in evidence, data, and analysis, driving improved performance and responsiveness.
Build effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving collective impact.
Stay ahead of emerging issues and trends, conducting horizon scanning and utilizing insights to add value to the Policy Unit's work.
Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to deliver the Levelling Up Programme, collaborating with the Chief Executive and senior leadership team.
Take a senior leadership role in cross-council priorities, including new build projects, construction initiatives, and community support programs.
Monitor project progress and outcomes using an evidence-based approach, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Engage with key stakeholders, including local businesses, community groups, and residents, to align the programme with local needs and aspirations.
Manage and coordinate a team of project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
Cultivate strong relationships with external partners, such as government agencies, funders, and contractors, to facilitate collaboration and secure resources.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a leadership role, driving strategic initiatives and delivering complex programmes.
Excellent understanding of levelling up policies, analysis, and implementation strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to utilize evidence and data to inform decision-making.
