Description

'Health and social work services. Health services. Miscellaneous health services. Company health services. Medical specialist services. This contract is for the provision of Occupational Health Physician Services to the Authority. The contract is for a period of 3 years with an option to extend by a further 12 months subject to satisfactory performance. Working with and supporting the Authority's Occupational Health Department, the provider will be expected to deliver sickness absence case management advice, fitness to work consultations, specialist medicals (including but not limited to those required by law dealing with asbestos and heavy goods vehicle licensing), supporting the ill health retirement process, advising on reasonable adjustments and/or redeployments, health surveillance as well as providing advice policy formulation in relation to health matters. The services must be delivered, in person, by one named clinician, supported where appropriate and with prior Authority approval, by one named locum. All clinicians must have appropriate General Medical Council registration, including entry onto the GMC Specialist Register at the time of commencement of the contract. The service will be provided in 2 half day sessions of (3.5 hours per session) on a basis of 4 sessions per week for 46 weeks annually. These 2 half day sessions will cover the clinic hours of 9:00 - 17:00 with the requirement to carry out regular evening clinics, as requested (it is envisaged that these will start at 12:00 and finish no later than 20:00).'
