Description

Central Bedfordshire Council ('the Council') is a Borough Council with unitary responsibilities covering housing, highways, planning, education, and social care in Bedfordshire. It owns and manages over 5,200 homes for social housing and covers an area of more than 276 square miles.

As both a landowner and land manager, the Council has a duty of care to its employees, neighbours, visitors, and the general public at large, to do all that it reasonably can under the Occupiers' Liability Acts 1957 and 1984, to prevent harm and damage occurring to people and property in a consequence of accident or incident relating to our stock.

In recognition of this duty of care, the Council requires a contractor ('the Contractor') to carry out ground's maintenance works at selected Housing managed sites across the Central Bedfordshire district. The desired outcome will be to provide a clean, tidy and well-maintained communal outdoor space for residents to enjoy. All works, including preliminary works, are to be carried out within budget.

The Council intends to enter into a contract with one successful Contractor. Central Bedfordshire Council's Major Terms and Conditions of Contract will be used for the Supply of Services for an initial term of 12 months.

The Council will provide as much support and information as it can to help guide you through the quotation process. Questions asked together with the response, will be made available to all tenderers, to ensure a fair and consistent approach to all.

If there is anything you are not sure about or need clarification on, please use the Correspondence facility within the In-tend electronic tendering system. Last date for receiving questions on the In-Tend system: 11th February 2025 at midday.

Completed Quotations and attachments should be submitted electronically by the due date via our In-tend electronic tendering system. Quotations must be uploaded via the "My Return" section of the system. Quotations submitted through the correspondence facility will not be considered. Your Quotation must be submitted via the In-tend system by no later than Monday 17th February 2025 at 09.00.
Quotations received after that time will be excluded.
