Description

** Please note this is not a call for competition, This is a PIN notice for a Supplier Engagement Session for The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) requirement**

1. Background & Purpose:
The UK has committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. To achieve this, the Department expects that emissions from all buildings, including non-domestic buildings, will have to be all but eliminated. The challenge of decarbonising energy use in non-domestic buildings is considered one of the most complex policy areas for the department. With the commitment to decarbonise the supply of electricity, electrically driven heat pump systems provide a great potential to achieve reductions in CO2 emissions and transition buildings to a net zero ready future.

The purpose of this project is therefore to reduce the complexity facing decision makers and provide them with impartial, robust evidence and tools to help facilitate the decisions that will lead to a greater deployment of heat pump systems in existing, large non-domestic buildings.

2. The Key Aims and Objectives of the Project are:
• To bring together, and manage, a diverse range of experts from many different countries to contribute information and insight from their own knowledge and expertise, in a timely manner to help achieve the objectives of the project.
• To build on existing tools and evidence to make best use of time and re-sources to deliver the objectives of the project

This contract is expected to run until December 2024
The anticipated maximum budget for this future requirement is £145K excluding VAT (including £10k for additional activities).
