Description
Legible London (LL) is a wayfinding project developed by Transport for London (TfL) with support from the London Local Authorities, to promote walking, making it a more enjoyable experience for Londoners and visitors. The framework is for services to manufacture, supply, install and (24 hour) reactive maintenance of Legible London wayfinding totems in accordance with the Scope and Framework Agreement.
The programme comprises an integrated signing and mapping system, which incorporates local identity and branding throughout the capital. It is a comprehensive wayfinding system that meets Londoners' needs, combining data systems, mapping and on-street signing under a single design approach. LL maps give people the relevant facts about their journey, with five and fifteen minute walking circles that show how many destinations and neighbourhoods are within close proximity. Further details of the Legible London wayfinding project can be found at: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/microsites/legible-london/default.aspx.
