Description

Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation trust require a replacement for the trust wide emergency speech bleep system. This system is a critical communication system providing vital time sensitive emergency response to one of the largest hospital trusts in the UK.

The replacement system MUST provide:
1. Stable real time communications to support the trusts emergency response teams
2. Communication across the two campus hospital sites.
3. 100% site coverage at the two main hospital sites and grounds. (Guys Hospital cam-pus, St Thomas' hospital campus)
4. Full resilience with no single point of failure
5. 100% service uptime
6. 24*7 support - See Appendix B for more Details
7. Full self-contained operation without reliance on external systems. E.g. the GSTT IT network. (the system can use the GSTT Network for monitoring and administration)
8. Critical spare components to be available on site and functionality validated annually.
9. A central management platform with service owners able to create, amend or delete teams and add devices and holders at both sites from either site.
10. A system capable of producing required reports daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc.
11. A support solution with a full service wrap with monthly service reviews. These monthly reviews to include incident reporting, usage stats, quality of service, capacity planning - AOB.
System Specifications:
 Approximately 200 devices configured across 30 groups with some devices configured in multiple groups with all users based on the 2 main hospital campus'
 The system should be primarily RF technology frequency based
 The system must not use WIFI signal as its primary mode of communication.
 The system must not use 4G/5G as its primary mode of communication.
Must haves:
 System must be capable of managing a minimum of 100 groups to be managed within the system. Supplier to detail maximum configuration capabilities. E.g. number of groups, individuals, and administrators that can be managed within the system.
 Devices must be capable of belonging to multiple/all response groups if required
 Alerts must be able to be sent out to devices or groups by telephone interface as the pri-mary method (The system should be able to deliver a backup alerts via other mediums such as sms via this solutions speech-to-text software).
 Supplier must provide robust devices
 The existing process for managing Emergency Bleep requests should be retained or im-proved
 24/7 Support desk backed up by remote and engineer-to-site support within agreed SLAs
 NHS (or similar critical organisation) reference site must be available for stakeholders to visit
 Guaranteed minimum 9 yrs. system support lifecycle
 The suppler must commit to undertaking all regulatory requirements / registrations
