Description

Stotfold Town Council leases an area of 24 acres on Arlesey Road, Stotfold from Central Bedfordshire Council. The bulk of this area is public open space for general recreational use and football pitches. The site also accommodates the town's Football Club with a stadium and clubhouse.

It is the Town Council's aim to enhance the wider community use of this public open space, as identified in the Stotfold Town Plan to increase recreation facilities for the community, and in the Town Council's Corporate Strategic Plan to provide a new Multi-Use Games Area and outdoor gym facility at the Arlesey Road site. This project to provide a Multi-Use Games Area, play area and outdoor gym equipment meets those objectives.

The facilities sought within this tender are intended to build on the formal sports provision at the site, to offer a range of casual sport and physical activity facilities and opportunities for a wide age range. The gym equipment and MUGA are aimed at older teenagers and adults; while the play area should cater for children from 6-10+years with an emphasis on challenge and innovation.

The contract is split into five Lots; multiple bids are accepted:

Lot 1 - MUGA
Lot 2 - Fitness equipment
Lot 3 - Play equipment
Lot 4 - Interactive ball wall
Lot 5 - Yalp Sona
