Description

The aim of the study is to identify the package of local, first/last mile transport provision required to maximise connectivity to/from railway stations on the Marston Vale Line (MVL). By doing so, capitalising on the benefit of investment made in East West Rail.

In order to maximise the connectivity opportunities presented by East West Rail on the MVL and influence future travel demand, it is essential that stations and communities served by the new railway benefit from high quality first/last mile connectivity ahead of new services commencing. Planning for, and providing, high quality connections to MVL stations is essential if we are to realise wider environmental and social benefits and by doing so expand the reach of the railway's benefits
