Description

Our project aims to restrict the use of the death penalty leading to abolition in Kenya. We have three specific objectives and the tender relates to the third:

1. To provide legal assistance and support to criminal defence/human rights lawyers representing those facing capital charges or sentenced to death;
2. To inform, equip and train legal and medical professionals involved in capital cases; and
3. To mobilise a campaign informed by empirical research.

This is a collaborative project between The Death Penalty Project (UK), The Katiba Institute, Kenya National Human Rights Commission, and the University Of Reading (UK).
