Description
The Council requires consultancy support to undertake two inter-related feasibility studies 1. To identify road improvements along a Major Road Network [MRN] corridor in South Yorkshire. The corridor includes a mix of on-line and off-line improvements. Suitable routes for the off-line section of road improvement, comprising bypasses of the villages of Hickleton and Marr, are required to be identified. The Strategic Outline Business Case [SOBC] for the proposition as a whole is required.
2. To identify and evaluate options for a suitable route to link the proposed Trans Pennine Tunnel to the Humber Ports between the M1 and the M18/M180. This route could include the route under investigation in the first study above.
