Description

You are invited to tender for the recovering of the existing roof membrane to the roofing terraces at the John Lennon Art & design Building located at 2 Duckinfield Street, Liverpool L3 5RD. The works include the raising of all the paving flags and associated pedestals, cleaning of surfaces and outlets, introduction of bonding board, application of liquid plastics roofing membrane, protection quilt and new pedestals and returning paving flags. The building is predominantly occupied by the school of art and design and parts of the building will be operational for the duration of the works. In order to achieve this, it is envisaged this work must be completed within 10 weeks. Contractors will be expected to provide in the tender the following: (but not limited to)
• Manufacturer Approvals in application of the liquid plastic roofing system
• Experience of undertaking similar projects to University premises
• Programming of Works including anticipated lead-in times including delivery to site of all components, offloading and moving into position
• Safe methods of work.
• Protection of visitors and building occupants for the duration of works
• Details of Site set up and requirements including Welfare Provision
• Detail levels of expected making good of finishes
• Opportunities to reduce snagging period
• Site supervision and management
