Description

The SMARTLINE project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is aimed at developing new and innovative ways to help improve the health and wellbeing of the residents of Cornwall, by building up an evidence base on the need and economic benefit of eHealth and eWellbeing products. This will provide a testbed for new products, processes and service linked to Smart homes and Smart communities. SMARTLINE stands for 'SMART Technology, Linking Innovation and Needs for eWellbeing in communities. There are four main partners in SMARTLINE; University of Exeter, Coastline Housing, Volunteer Cornwall and Cornwall Council.

As part of the project the University of Exeter will provide a communication device to each household taking part in the project, between 200 - 350 homes. All the households in the project are Coastline Housing customers. (http://www.coastlinehousing.co.uk/).
