Description
The Par Athletics track facility is owned by Cornwall Council and currently managed, through a leisure management agreement, by Tempus Leisure. The current synthetic surface was laid on the track in 2000. In April 2016 Cornwall Council commissioned a dilapidation survey of Par Athletics track and this survey confirmed that a full resurface would be required.
Cornwall Council seeks to appoint a suitably experienced, SAPCA qualified and accredited Principal Contractor to undertake a full replacement of the 400m Running Track as well as, budget permitting, undertake the refurbishment of some of the associated track and field equipment and facilities. The Council intends for the actual works on site to commence at the beginning of March 2017 and be completed by end May 2017, prior to the commencement of the main athletics meeting season.
