Description
The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services to the pupils and staff, and all hospitality services for Old Swinford Hospital. The requirement will also include the provision of catering services to external lets that use the school premises during the holiday periods, as required.
The duration of the contract being offered is five years commencing on 1.4.2018, with the option of extending for a further period of two years, and will be on a guaranteed performance basis.
The school currently has approximately 700 pupils and this is broken down into 190 full boarders, 215 weekly boarders and 295 day pupils.
The current cost of catering is approximately 620 000 GBP per annum for the core catering costs and in addition to this free issues and hospitality will be charged on an as and when basis dictated by School events.
We seek by way of this tender a suitably qualified and experienced Supplier within this business sector who is able to provide innovation and change to Old Swinford Hospital moving into this contract term.
As part of that change we are seeking inward investment within the tender responses which is to be used to refurbish the kitchens and also 'freshen up' the front-of-house servery areas. Please ensure that within the tender timetable you have made adequate time for your preferred supplier to visit the school to prepare the formal scale drawings and plans and quotations for submission with your competitive tender.

The contracting authority will not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in tendering for this contract opportunity.
The contracting authority will consider variant bids, evaluating them (so far as the variant or the evaluation of the variant is in the opinion of the contracting authority practicable) on the same basis as a conforming bid, but shall not be obliged to accept any such bid in preference to a conforming bid even if the variant bid scores more highly. No variant will be considered unless the bidder simultaneously submits a conforming bid.
