Description
One Public Estate (OPE) is a national programme, jointly managed by Cabinet Office and the Local Government Association, that brings public sector organisations together. By working in partnership, we can look at how we can use our land and buildings collaboratively to:
• improve public services and community facilities to residents, visitors, employees and businesses in the county
• renew and rationalise the public estate so there is a reduction in the amount of money we spend on buildings
• free up much needed land for the development of housing, commercial and employment space
• support local economic growth
• generate capital receipts and income.
This project is part of the successful bid for funding under the One Public Estate (OPE) programme in 2019. Oxfordshire County Council (the Council) and its partner, Kidlington Parish Council are seeking a succinct, high level options appraisal for the 'Exeter Close' site in Kidlington.
This initial phase is to procure support for strategic project scoping (Project Management Services) to progress the project and include finalisation of the Project Initiation Document (PID).
The Consultant will oversee and control the initial preparation of all the necessary documentation required to scope a brief for an Options Appraisal which will be included in the PID.
The role will include facilitation of meetings to gain sufficient details of service requirements and master planning of the site.
