Description
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the UK Space Agency (UKSA) would like to give prior notification of their intention to invite tenders for the following requirement.
The purpose of this future procurement is to choose a suitable bidder to supply the expertise required for study(s) into Space Launch - Range, Safety Tracking and Surveillance Facilities.
REQUIREMENT
The successful bidder will be required to deliver the following:
1. Investigate current launch practice in the collection of trajectory (safety tracking) data, their use in safety management.
2. Relate safety tracking data quality to a level of safety, providing a commentary on its contribution within the overall launch safety process including flight termination criteria.
3. Survey existing, near-to-market or capable-of-adaption systems that could provide a suitable level of trajectory information with guidance on the level of safety integrity that differing technologies or technical approaches may offer.
