Description

Part E - Standards & Services Required

Please read this tender document carefully and ensure that for all elements required you provide evidence or a statement to fulfil the requirements.

1.Background:

The site, which was formerly the Fabricom Engie construction facility, was partially redeveloped in 2017 to provide a state of the art Logistic Hub know as Modal Training Centre and is designed to meet the growing need of industries in our region.

With the continual growth in areas such as Offshore Wind, Warehousing, Environmental Technologies, Road Haulage and Portside Operations, the Modal Training Centre of excellence currently includes individual and team training suites and simulators for offshore vessels and portside and offshore lifting.

This initiative, in collaboration with ATT and Orsted, seeks to create stimulating safe spaces for people to practice and develop their skills; bridging the gap between the theory of the learning model and the reality of life in the workplace. This immersive training combines interactive experiences, film, drama, live action, exercises, participation and facilitated discussion in order to create an authentic, tailored and very effective experience.

2. Scope of work to address the following:

• Redevelop existing redundant male toilet block into separate male and female toilets
• Form new designated external entrance from car park
• Convert existing open plan office into female and male dressing rooms
• Rationalise existing single storey spaces and refurbish to create first aid room and meeting/rehearsal space
• Form learning zone and associated circulation. Note that the central zone is required to be double height with significant audio visual equipment hung from the ceiling.
• Provision of independent heating, cooling and ventilation with a designated plant room
