Description

Legislation is in place to tackle discrimination in employment, including discrimination of pregnant or returning mothers, and there is evidence that it persists. Some employers may not fully understand their obligations towards pregnant women, those on maternity leave or those returning from maternity leave, and some mothers and expectant mothers may not be fully aware of their rights or be able to seek access to redress. The aim of this project is to identify the financial costs of pregnancy related discrimination and disadvantage to women, employers, and the state. Estimated range of contract values is inclusive of VAT
