Description

The Department for Transport (DfT) has a requirement for a Claims Handler for new industrial disease compensation claims against British Railways Board (BRB) and/or any of it's subsidiary companies. Following privatisation, legal responsibility for compensation claims resulting from these activities before their sale or closure remained with BRB and is now vested in DfT. This procurement is an opportunity to tender for the supply of claims handling services. These claims are predominantly but not exclusively a result of negligent exposure to asbestos, noise and vibration.

The supplier will manage claims up to a specific delegated authority level and be responsible for the negotiation of third party legal costs up to a specific delegated authority.

The full tender pack is accessible through DfTs AWARD e-Sourcing portal. DfT shall issue the AWARD e-Sourcing portal registration to interested suppliers - requested through Contracts Finder. To permit this, interested suppliers will be required to register onto the e-Sourcing portal for this specific requirement. To register, an email detailing company name, first and surname and email address should be sent to Costaki.costi@dft.gov.uk

Submissions will close at noon on 13 January 2020.
