Description

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a highly experienced, reliable and accommodating transport provider to provide transport to schools within the Dudley borough. They will be required to provide an excellent service for children and staff, to and from Astley Burf Outdoor Adventure Centre located in Stourport on Severn, DY13 0SF.

The provider will be a coach company, in order to meet the capacity to cater for of a minimum of 25 children and 5 adult staff and the maximum of 60 children and 5 adult staff. The transport service will be split between Day Trips to and from the centre and residential stays to and from the centre.

The successful provider will need to be available, in the event of an emergency where the site must be evacuated be able to provide a 24-hour service. Out of normal hours the coach would collect the children from Astley Burf and take them back to the school they came from.

Additionally, there may be times that groups are on a day trip and require immediate assistance from the transport provider for example; the whole group need to leave the destination quickly, there are unforeseen weather conditions or children become unwell. The provider will need to be able to cater for this service without a prior booking. It is a requirement and the practice that the onsite manager at Astley Burf would need to have an emergency number that they can contact the transport provider at any time, where the children and staff can be collected and taken to their school.

There is an option to extend this contract depending on performance, quality and price.
