Description

ESDAL (Electronic Service Delivery for Abnormal Loads) is a service for managing Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AIL) in the UK. An AIL is one which cannot, without undue expense or risk of damage, be divided into two or more loads and cannot be carried by a normal vehicle. For some sizes and weights, hauliers are required to notify road and structure owners and the police of the movement of abnormal loads so that authorities have the opportunity to check that structures are not damaged.

The service outputs will be defined by five Service Definitions and detailed within this Scope document.
- Clone Service
- Mobilisation and Stability Service
- Business as Usual Service
- Enhancements Service
- Exit Service
