Description

THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION AND THIS EXERCISE WILL NOT FORM PART OF ANY COMPETITIVE PROCEDURE

Background

West Oxfordshire District Council is seeking a development partner to bring forward eight custom build, zero carbon affordable homes at Walterbush Road, Chipping Norton, OX7 5DQ.

This project will provide custom build, net zero homes for local people at relatively affordable prices, however the developer will need to ensure early, and positive engagement from the wider community to ensure that it is a success. This is particularly important as the site is currently used as an informal play area. The successful developer will need to ensure that the project is clearly explained to local people and prospective custom builders, so that they understand the unique elements such as; E-Vehicle Club, Community Gardens and a Green Classroom. This way they can all contribute to the design options prior to detailed planning drawings being started. As much as possible these suggestions will be incorporated into the planning submission.
