Description
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is looking to procure a technical advisor to carry out 2D hydrodynamic and wave modelling of three potential tidal range energy schemes (coastal lagoon, offshore lagoon and barrage) in the Mersey and Liverpool Bay region. The purpose of this work is to provide an assessment of annual energy generation and hydro-environmental and hydro-morphological impact simulations in 2-D for the key design layouts being considered and including: salinity, key water quality constituents and sediment transport processes (linked to bed shear). The work will involve a high-level review of 2D modelling work carried out to date and comparisons to these results. The work is expected to run over 3 months. Full details of the opportunity are provided in the Specification.
