Description
Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are inviting bids from providers who are able to commission an in-depth review to help all local partners understand the future accommodation needs of a number of cohorts to inform Local Housing Authorities in their development of a strategic approach to supported accommodation on behalf of The South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System (ICS)
The review will report on the estimates of need for housing/accommodation over the next 10-15 years, with a focus on supported accommodation for:
• People with learning disabilities
• People with autism
• People identified as being part of the Transforming Care Programme cohort (i.e. people currently accommodated in in-patient settings (or at risk of an inpatient admission) who's needs are better met accommodated in the community)
• People with severe mental health issues (SMI's)
The different components of this in-depth review will consist of:
Component 1: Population baseline
Component 2: Current housing/accommodation status
Component 3: Projecting future population of people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and transforming care population- making use of health and social care data
Component 4: Assumptions about the use of different housing/accommodation types to be applied the estimated population to 2030/31 to identify projected housing needs.
There will be engagement with experts/stakeholders throughout the project. Some of the consultant's time will be used to help get traction on delivering the action plan.
