Brief Description of Requirement:

UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS), on behalf of The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) wishes to appoint a supplier to undertake the Testing of 13 Gas Space Heaters (boilers) in order to verify compliance with the EU regulations.

The awarded supplier shall be required to perform testing on a total of 13 gas space heaters (boilers), to verify compliance with the following Regulations (and any amendments to these):

Commission Regulation (EU) No 813/2013 with regard to Ecodesign requirements for gas combi space heaters

and

Commission Regulation (EU) No 811/2011 with regard to Energy Labelling requirements of gas combi space heaters.

The test methods applied should follow harmonised standards the reference numbers of which have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, or other reliable, accurate and reproducible calculation and measurement methods, which considers the generally recognised state of the art.

Testing of load profiles (tapping cycles) should be conducted to ascertain the products full load capacity in the first instance, and whether this reflects the declared value, which should be no more than one load profiles below the maximum load capacity.

This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria as set out in the ITQ document.
