Description

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) intends to tender for Taxi and Courier Services on behalf of its hospitals, GP Premises and/or Sexual Health Premises (Umbrella) located within the Birmingham and / or outer Birmingham region. The majority of Trust Taxi activity is within the West Midlands Region.

Following the acquisition of the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust on 1.4.2018, our hospitals include: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Edgbaston), Good Hope Hospital (Sutton Coldfield), Solihull Hospital and Birmingham Heartlands Hospital (East Birmingham).

Taxi and Courier services shall include the movement of staff, patients, specimens (Category B) and medical equipment / devices on the same day and / or next day basis. Courier services may include UK and International collection / delivery.

The Trust is considering awarding contracts to 1 or more providers dependent upon capacity, experience and value for money. Contract duration: minimum 3 years.

Update: 23/11/18 -
The Authority has now published its draft set of Tender Documents and Q&A's following a Supplier Engagement Event held on 23/08/18.

All of the Suppliers who expressed an interest to the previous Supplier Engagement Event have been automatically invited to access PQQ 28526.

The Authority is seeking comments / feedback on these documents and have included a Supplier Consultation Questionnaire (2 pages) to capture feedback - this must be returned using the Bravo portal by the Friday 7th December at Noon.
