Description

Hythe Town Council currently hold long term leases on a number of public open spaces within the Town. The Town Council are required to ensure that these spaces are kept in a clean and tidy condition.

The Town Council place great value in the day-to-day management of these sites as the free resource that all residents can enjoy. Green Spaces are a vital part of our community infrastructure contributing in a variety of ways to the health and well-being of all that use them or even enjoy the simple visual amenity.
Therefore, it is vital that the maintenance of these spaces is carried out to the highest standard and fully reflects the quality of service that the residents of Hythe pay for.

Duties to include edging, grass cutting, weeding, planting trees, shrubs and seasonal bedding, pruning, small tree works, sports pitch maintenance and any other gardening tasks associated with grounds maintenance.

The Tender notice refers to an official letter provided by Hythe Town Council to complete large-scale services and deliver goods.
Where the estimated value of a public contract exceeds £25,000 (net of VAT) Hythe Town Council will comply with Articles 109 and 114 of the 2015 Public Contracts Regulations in addition to section 135 of the 1972 Local Government Act.
Details of every open invitation to tender for contracts to provide goods and/or services which exceeds £25,000, and details of any contract, commissioned activity, purchase order, framework agreement and any other legally enforceable agreement with a value that exceeds £25,000 will be published on the Hythe Town Council website and on the Contracts Finder website.

Invitations and specifications will be sent to interested parties Please contact The Proper Officer, The Town Clerk in the first instance.
All sealed tenders must then be completed and returned by midnight 31 December 2021 and addressed to the Proper Officer:
The Town Clerk, Town Council Offices, Oaklands, 1 Stade Street, Hythe, Kent. CT20 6BG. The Council will reply in writing no later than 31 January 2022.
