Description

The use of GNSS technologies to meet position, navigation and timing are entwined within our daily lives, such that the 2018 Blackett Review concluded a loss of GNSS would cost the UK economy over ?1bn/day. As we develop and adopt more digital technologies, the use of PNT services become more critical to the safe and efficient operation of those PNT dependent services. To support resilient PNT services for safety related and critical systems, the UK will require access to integrity monitoring and other related services. Today, Ordnance Survey operates a national network of GNSS receivers, known as OS Net which enables realisation of the coordinate for GB and position augmentation services for users who require high accuracy positioning (e.g. surveyors).

In order to do this, we require expertise consultancy to support in the following deliverables
Deliverables: Board level report that provides:
1. Identified and explanation of systems likely to use OS Net PNT data services for high integrity (safety related and critical) operations and any associated business cases.
2. Overview of governance, processes, business systems and technical systems required to provide such a service. Including indicative costs.
3. Identification of top-level risks, liabilities, and other challenges.
4. Recommendations for next steps.
