Description

Provision for learners to start on the Revenues and Welfare Benefits Practitioner Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard Training from September 2022.

Provision for this requirement, will be for apprentices working for Shropshire Council Local Authority. All apprentices will be new recruits into the post. Shropshire Council will require provision for 8 apprentices; two further places may be required for Telford and Wrekin Council, but this is to be confirmed.

Delivery will be required on a "hybrid" basis. The successful Apprenticeship Training Provider will need to provide local delivery for all apprentices or remote delivery via Microsoft Teams where applicable.

Apprentices are likely to located within the following Teams:
-4 x Benefits Team
-2 x Council Tax Team
-2 x Recovery or Non Domestic Rates

Learners will occasionally work from a Shropshire Council base located within the Local Authority Area. Recruitment support from the Training Provider may be required including:
-Promotion of the vacancies
-Attendance at Information Sessions
-Support with eligibility checks at shortlisting phase
-Support with interviews and induction.

Preferred delivery method:
Day release. Blended learning method is preferable. Day release model is required to ensure minimum disruption to business as usual and to minimise any additional costs for the organisation. If block release, please outline benefits of this delivery model within your response.

Provider is required to demonstrate how they will support both the learner and the employer when planning and implementing 20% off the job learning and how this will be monitored. If functional skills are required, how will learners be supported in completing this successfully in a timely manner ensuring it does not affect start date of apprenticeship and delivery.
