Description

The MMO has identified 32 priority MPAs for which the following is required:
1. Collation of existing data for the 7 prioritised activities in the specified MPAs, from 1st January 2015 to present. Including:
a) Spatial and temporal distribution of non-licensable activities: location and count data over time for the listed activities, for example GIS, earth observation, AIS, sporting activity tracking data, RYA Coastal atlas, government and academic reports such as MMO1136. (Information on dates, times, weather conditions and overlap with features also useful)
b) Undertake stakeholder engagement to validate the findings on distribution of non-licensable activities.
2. Collection of new data for prioritised activities in the specified MPAs, throughout 2020/21 including:
a) Spatial and temporal distribution of non-licensable activities (desk exercise)
b) GPS locations of permanent moorings within each site
c) Stakeholder surveys regarding levels of each activity over time at the sites.
3. Collation of existing and new data into a GIS layer and production of activity maps for each MPA.
