Description

Platelet Storage Equipment is used to store platelet components under agitation at a controlled temperature of 20°C to 24°C within Authority premises. The equipment provides gentle horizontal flat bed agitation and storage capacity for adult therapeutic doses of platelet components of typical volumes 30 mL to 1300 mL.

The Authority invited Tender Responses for the supply and support of PSE over a period of 4 years, from the commencement date, with the option to extend for a further 4-year period.

Beneficiaries of this contract include: Welsh Blood Service (WBS), Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS), Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) and Northern Irish Blood Transfusion Service (NIBTS)
