Description
NOTE: This notice was updated on 27 October 2017 for the following reason: Removal of ISO27001 standard and revised Commercial Officer POC details.Exercise prescription is a core element of rehabilitation of injuries in Defence. Exercise description, frequency and progression must be clearly documented by the clinician in order to provide a comprehensive medical record and to act as a reference document for the patient to ensure the delivery of a safe and effective individual exercise programme. A hosted software solution is required which enables the production and digital sharing of bespoke individual exercise programmes.
The Contractor is to provide a hosted software solution which:
• Allows the production of bespoke, individual exercise programmes .
• Has a broad ranging catalogue of exercises relevant to the physical rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injury, neurological injury and disease.
• Produces exercise sheets with clear pictorial reference which has an editable written description (allowing modification of elements such as resistance, frequency and number of repetitions).
• Produces templates, which can be shared with other users, for common individual exercise programmes .
• Is capable of supporting a variety of media.
• Produces exercise prescriptions which can be published and shared with the patient via digital transmission and produce a record which can be stored in the e-health record (eHR). Once published the record must be non-modifiable.
• Has a unique login for each authorised clinician.
• Complies with ISO27001.
A web based portal is required, which is accessible from any worldwide web terminal. The exercise prescription output must comply with the Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC) standard for medical documentation (physiotherapy standards). In addition the portal must allow the development of additional Authority exercise programmes for specialist areas such as catered for at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine.
The evaluation criterion for this requirement is Most Economically Advantageous to Tender (MEAT) with an agreed scoring weighting of 60 Technical and 40 Price.
