Description

On behalf of Torbay Council, Torbay Development Agency invites offers, by way of formal tender for a long lease (maximum of 40 years) of the Palace Theatre, Palace Avenue, Paignton TQ3 3HF.

The Palace Theatre is the oldest working theatre in Torbay and has been operated and managed by Torbay Council for over 70 years. The Theatre was originally built as a public hall for Paignton Town Council in 1898. The Theatre was refurbished in 2006 and has in recent years taken on a multi use venue role with a particularly strong amateur and community use over a typical year.

The Council is seeking an alternative delivery model for the Palace Theatre.
