Description

To manage the delivery of a selection of artwork for sculpture in the City project, for a period of 3 years, on a rolling basis.

The selected consultant will be expected to:
• Regular, pro-active and on-going liaison with CoL officers (EE, Highways, Access, Planning, City Surveyors, Cleansing, Open Spaces, City Police, Environmental Health), art handling company, Lacuna PR Ltd, structural engineer and respective galleries/artists to ensure they are fully informed of progress and given early warning of when key decisions will be required;
• Preparation and maintenance of all project management documentation including but not limited to Project Programme, Risk Register, Communications Plan, Risk Register;
• Obtain Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for each piece as necessary, including preparation/submission of planning drawings and applications;
• Actively manage the de-install of the remaining Year 6, 7 and 8 pieces including programming, traffic management, Health & Safety, snagging/reparations, third-party permissions, and providing an on-site presence;
• Actively manage the install of new Year 7, 8 and 9 pieces including programming, traffic management, Health & Safety, snagging/reparations, third-party permissions, gallery liaison, and providing an on-site presence;
• Arrange, attend and chair meetings with internal (CoL) and external stakeholders as required to progress the implementation;
• Obtain any third party approvals that may be necessary such as Transport for London, Faculty, Diocese, licences;
• Resolve any taxation or importation issues;
• Liaise with local occupiers/retailers, particularly regarding locations of pieces prior to installation;
• Obtain landowner/project partner consent regarding works on private land and on-going liaison with Facility Managers/Security etc;
• Coordinate the cleaning/maintenance and condition reporting of the Year 7, 8 and 9 pieces;
• Ensure appropriate loan agreements and insurance provisions are in place prior to installation;
• Monitor the preparation of pre-deinstallation, pre-installation, post installation condition report before handed this task over to the City of London project officer.
