Description

Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) will be undertaking the procurement of its Corporate Gritting Services to provide a winter gritting service.

The appointed contractor will be responsible for the provision of gritting services, including snow/ice clearance and supply and replenishment of salt bins. Locations include the Council's corporate office site as well as community buildings such as libraries, community centres, warm spaces and care homes.

The Council also offer a "BuyBack" service to schools and educational sites and other 3rd sector organisations.

The initial contract duration is 3 years with an option to extend by 12 months.

Completed Tenders and attachments should be submitted electronically, by the due date via our "In-Tend" electronic tendering system. Tenders must be uploaded via the "My Return" section of the system. Tenders submitted through the correspondence facility will not be considered. Your Tender must be submitted via the In-tend system by no later than 12:00 noon on 16th June 2023. Tenders received after that time will be excluded.

Social Value - Central Bedfordshire Council is committed to a performance and evidence-based approach to Social Value. The Social Value Portal shall be used for the Social Value element of this tender. Based on the National TOMs (Themes, Outcomes and Measures) developed by the Social Value Portal, bidders will be required to propose credible targets against, which performance (for the successful bidder) will be monitored.
