Description

Worcestershire Children First are looking for supported lodgings and emergency supported lodgings placements within Worcestershire to enable young people, where appropriate, to maintain connections they have within Worcestershire, to maintain support links with professionals and allowing access to WCF's Local Offer for Care Leavers (e.g. school/college, friends and family, employment and housing post 18).

Supported Lodgings is a planned resource and typically offers a period of longer-term stability for a young person and helps them acquire the necessary skills in preparation for living independently. It enables a young person to live in a family environment where they can build their support networks, develop responsibilities and experiment safely with their increasing freedom whilst receiving support from an interested adult (the host).

Emergency supported lodgings offers immediate/emergency accommodation for a young person on a temporary basis and can range from an overnight stay and up to 8 weeks. This type of placement is typically unplanned/same day and offers the allocated team/worker and host opportunity to build a move on plan, informed by the young person's views and needs.
