Description
Provision of modular temporary accommodation to meet the temporary demand of primary school students. The temporary school is proposed to be situated adjacent to Meon Vale Leisure Centre on land allocated for a public house. Temporary buildings will be required, with a temporary hard play area. Installation and subsequent removal of modular temporary accommodation is required, with the site to be reinstated to grass seed. Provision of associated utilities, infrastructure, groundworks, passive ICT infrastructure and FF&E will be required. Development of limited outdoor facilities and security fencing to enclose the area will also be required.
The required space within the temporary building will need to be sufficient to accommodate 30 No. reception / year 1 students in the first year (Sept 2019), and will increase up to 60 No. reception / year 1 / year 2 students in the second year (Sept 2020).
The proposed procurement will be a single stage tender, which will be released as a lump sum to a design and build contractor.
The form of contract is anticipated to be JCT DB11.
Appointment of contractor will be on the basis of the criteria to be published in the tender documents, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the following split: Qualitative assessment [50%] / Quantitative assessments [50%].
