Description

The Directorate of Global Health Partnerships at Health Education England (HEE) aims to strengthen health systems and services in England and across the world through international exchanges. We work with partners to plan, educate, and train an international health workforce.
We work to support the development of educational partnerships which enable strengthen the Human Resources for Health (HRH) in the NHS and in partner countries. As a key part of this facilitate global learning opportunities healthcare staff, including educational work placements.
We are seeking a partner or consortia to improve the quality and quantity of these educational partnerships through the delivery of four key functions;
Background
There is a requirement for a partner institution or consortia of institutions which enables the NHS to deliver on global health partnerships programming through a direct and indirect support to national, regional, and local programmes, to include:
• Work with HEE and other stakeholders to increase access to global learning opportunities for NHS staff employed in England, locally and regionally through global health partnerships
• Work with HEE and other stakeholders to increase awareness of the benefits to NHS staff, NHS systems, and global partners through global health partnership activity
• Facilitate global learning opportunities with NHS partners in/with Low- and Middle- Income Country partners by providing specialist international development expertise to complement NHS technical knowledge
• Expedite the positive impact of NHS global programmes, on all involved, through partnership working in an evidence-informed way, and by providing in-country support to projects and programmes
A cost envelop for the Minimum Viable Programme is outlined below, but organisations are asked to demonstrate how they would respond to uplifts in funding against each of the deliverables in the scope of the contract should internal or external funding be agreed.
