Description
NPL require a state-of-the-art white-light interferometer (WLI) with a microscope form-factor to enable areal surface topography measurement of appropriate workpieces. By 'white-light interferometry' we mean 'coherence scanning interferometry with visible light' as described in ISO 25178-604:2013.
The WLI will be used in a dimensional metrology laboratory at NPL to undertake traceable measurement tasks required for NPL's measurement services and R&D activities. We are seeking a state-of-the-art instrument and the technical specifications described later in this document include commensurate functionality such as automatic sample staging/alignment with multiple optics for measurement of different sample/feature scales, and associated measurement automation software and data analysis software packages.
