When required, the Providers will need to work with the Authority's Environmental and Social Risk Management Team (E&S Team) to assist with various access of due diligence, monitoring or related activities in respect of ESHR impacts and risks. This could be on one or more projects and would be to also provide services ancillary to such activities.
In considering an application for support, UKEF considers, through its Environmental and Social Risk Management Team (E&S Team), amongst other factors, the environmental, social, health, safety and human rights (ESHR) impacts and risks associated with a project or existing operation in relation to which an export is being made from the UK. The E&S Team undertakes, amongst other things, due diligence and carries out monitoring in relation to Projects with regards to ESHR impacts and risks in accordance with the OECD Common Approaches for Officially Supported Export Credits and Environmental and Social Due Diligence and the Equator Principles.
UKEF may, from time to time, require external advisers to work with the E&S Team and assist with various aspects of due diligence and/or monitoring and/or related activities in relation to ESHR impacts and risks of one or more Projects and/or to provide services ancillary to such activities.
Activities or services that may be required for individual Projects include, but are not restricted to:
- Review material,
- ESHR due diligence and monitoring,
- In-country services.
