Description
The Jubilee Line train fleet was introduced into service in 1997, with a design life of 40 years. The fleet has now reached its mid-life and requires refurbishment in order to keep the interior and exterior in good condition and to comply with the Rail Vehicle Access Regulations (RVAR) 2010 regulations.
The overall aim of the Jubilee Line Midlife Refurbishment (JMLR) project is to refurbish the Jubilee Line fleet to preserve the train saloon condition and enhance performance and ambience in order to fulfil London Underground's statutory requirement to meet RVAR.
London Underground requires the procurement of metal parts and coving spares, which are to be used during the refurbishment of the train fleet.
