Description

Refurbishment at the Old Laundry Building, Walton Hall and Gardens, this will include:

• Reinstatement of existing roof and glazing
• Remedial structural repairs as required
• Installation of compliant access to all entrances to the building
• Reinstatement of rainwater goods in powder coated aluminium to match existing profile (or repair of existing where these remain in suitable condition)
• Refurbishment of old servants lodging to office accommodation

The building is curtilage listed and an application for LBC has been submitted to the Local Planning Authority. We propose to reinstate the roof and dormer windows, repairing and replacing spalled brickwork as required. Rainwater guttering and downpipes will be reinstated or repaired (where possible) to prevent further decay to the brick structure. Documents and other related materials can be obtained through the North West e-procurement platform at www.the-chest.org.uk.
