Description

Melksham House (the House) is a Grade II listed building located within a large site owned by Wiltshire Council to accommodate the Melksham Community Campus (the Campus). Melksham House has been unoccupied for a number of years and is in poor condition. The Campus is now in construction and is due to complete in Summer 2022.
A separate procurement exercise is underway to appoint an enabling works contractor to undertake the major demolition and soft strip of the building prior to refurbishment. This work is expected to take place in early 2022.
The Consultant Team has been appointed and the Planning and Listed Building Consent Applications have been approved.
This PIN is concerned with the procurement of contractors to complete the building refurbishment and associated external works to provide office and community accommodation.
The Main Construction works will be the refurbishment of Melksham House with associated external works to provide a office and community accommodation
The works will be carried out in line with the approved Planning and Listed Building Consents: Planning application reference number PL/2021/07229; Listed Building Consent reference number PL/2021/07395.
