Description

Public Health England (PHE) requires the purchase of a compact, modular, scalable multi-channel sound measurement system, and associated hardware and software, for carrying out short, medium and/or long term (1+ years) simultaneous sound monitoring inside and outside buildings. The main purpose of the measurement system is to quantify and characterise ambient sound inside occupied spaces, including external noise ingress through the building fabric. As the instrumentation will be installed in occupied spaces, including homes, for long periods of time, it is important that the system is physically compact, has a low power consumption and can reliably record data for long periods of time without human intervention.

The entire measurement system (including microphones, preamplifiers, calibrator and software) needs to meet Class 1 accuracy in accordance with the relevant standards.

The supplier will also be responsible for servicing, maintenance, calibration, validation (if applicable) and repairs. The supplier will also be expected to provide equipment training.

If you feel that you can meet the above requirements, please register on our e-tendering platform https://phe.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.shtml. If you have any queries please email kallie.rivers@phe.gov.uk or anna.gibson@phe.gov.uk.
