Description

2.1 The contractor will have to design, supply, install and commission Photovoltaic Panels on a designated home, as outlined below.
2.1.1 The contractor has to install, commission and test the agreed PV installation design, including the provision of all necessary building work and making good.
2.1.2 All Solar Photovoltaic System components must comply with relevant UK Standards.
2.1.3 Full fixing details to be provided as part of the design process to suit the given installation into the proposed roof structure.
2.1.4 Tamper-proof fixing shall be used.
2.1.5 Roof-mounted installations must not exceed the weight limit provided in "Annexure J - Structural Details of the Roof".
2.1.6 The Contractor has to ensure weather tightness of all roof coverings at all times, including access routes to and from the installation area.
2.1.7 The scope is to include all necessary building works to enable the installation, and making good of any disturbed building materials or structure.
2.1.8 Damages caused to the building structure or surface as a result of the works including water ingress, will be rectified by the Contractors at no cost to the Authority.
2.1.9 Internal cable runs to be kept to a minimum, and shall be contained within supper high impact heavy gauge round PVC-U white conduit complete with matching saddles, components and accessories necessary to contain the cables.
2.1.10 The contractor must install the cabling to ensure that it does not come into contact with any expanded polysterene installation product.
2.1.11 Each system shall be fitted with a manual AC switch/isolator, which shall comply with all relevant international or other standards of product manufacture and performance.
