Description

The Contracting Authority seeks the provision of a Pathology Service for the processing and reporting of Sexual Health and HIV screening tests on behalf of Lincolnshire patients. Tests will be undertaken by the LiSH service following which the Pathology Service will undertake collection, delivery, processing and reporting to LiSH. This specification sets out the minimum requirements of this service. This service will primarily cover screening for the following tests:
• Chlamydia (NB There is a separate contract for online Chlamydia Screening for 15-24 year olds)
• Gonorrhoea
• Trichomonas
• Herpes
• Syphilis
• HIV
• Blood borne Viruses eg Hep A, Hep B and Hep CNon STI organisms such as Candida and Bacterial Vaginosis, streptococcus etc
• Mycoplasma Genitalium
• Lymphogranuloma Venereum
The Pathology Service will include the BASHH recommended tests for STIs: (April 2019 or any subsequent update) - https://www.bashh.org/about-bashh/publications/standards-for-the-management-of-stis/
A three year contract will be let by the Contracting Authority for the provision of this service, with the option to extend by up to one year (3+1). There is no guarantee of activity in the provision of this service. The estimated value of the services is based on the full value of the opportunity should the contract extension be exercised by the Contracting Authority.
This procurement is subject to the "Light Touch Regime" as described within Regulations 74-77 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as a Schedule 3 service.
