Description

The Home Office is seeking proposals for grant-funding for two competed funds which form part of the wider Modern Slavery Fund announced in July:

1) A Modern Slavery Innovation Fund (MSIF), open to bids from external project implementers, to test innovative programmes to reduce the prevalence of modern slavery; contribute to the body of evidence of what works; and help to identify which interventions might be scaled up. The MSIF will make available £11m ODA funding from 2016-17 to 2020-21. This first call for proposals is for £6m ODA funding available until 2018-19.

2) A Child Trafficking Protection Fund (CTPF) that will enable the delivery of new and innovative projects or initiatives to provide positive outcomes for potentially trafficked children. The CTPF will provide up to £3m of funding of which 80% is from ODA. The funding is available over a 27 month period which will cover 3 financial years from 2016-17 to 2018-19.

The Home Office will seek proposals from organisations from the statutory, not for profit and for profit sectors for grant funding. The MSIF will seek bids that aim to tackle the root causes of modern slavery, strengthening efforts to combat slavery and reduce vulnerability, and build an evidence base to better understand what works in the future. The CTPF will seek bids to enable the delivery of new and innovative projects or initiatives to provide positive outcomes for potentially trafficked children. The Home Office welcomes collaborative proposals covering multiple areas and different sectors e.g. statutory (UKVI, Police, NCA, Local Authorities, Health etc), voluntary and international institutions. The intention is to make multiple awards covering a range of different initiatives.

Potential bidders must register on Crown Commercial Service's eSourcing tool (https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/sso/jsp/login.jsp) and complete the Non-Disclosure Agreement (attached below), sending it to OGD&GrantsTeam@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk.

Bidders will be able to access bid documents and guidance following both successful registration and approval of the NDA.

Full guidance on registering with the eSourcing tool is available at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/esourcing-tool-guidance-for-suppliers
