Description

Under the UK Housing Act 2004 there is a requirement for landlords to have a EICR carried out on all electrical installations, fixtures and fittings within their rental properties. Th contract will also allow for minor works to be carried out as a result of a C1 or C2 repair being identified at the time of the EICR being carried out.

The contract will also require the installation of Smoke & Heat detection to dwellings which do not have any form of such detection, or that the current smoke & Heat detection installation is more than 10 years old.

The EICR will be carried out every 5 years for Communal landlord Supplies and every 5 years for residential dwellings, or at change of occupancy within the residential dwelling.

The work will be carried out to ensure compliance within the councils housing stock and will also be carried out to the latest BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition standard (BS 7671:2018+A2:2022.)
